After download the package, please proceed with the following steps:
Please unzipped the archive.
Installing the extension. You can check compilation state in System > Tool > Compilation, see "Compiler Status". If status is "Enable" to change it to "Disable".
Disable cache at System > Cache Management.
Unload the contents of the module package to the Magento root folder. This will not over write the existing Magento folders of files, only the new contents will added.
Refresh your admin user access rights: logout from your store admin and then login back.Next, please Enable Cache.
Go to the CMS IDEAS > Product Feed > Settings (or System > Configuration > Glace Extensions > Easy Generate Product Feeds).
Batch Size - Indicate how many products will be handled during one iteration. Affects the feed generation time and the server memory consumption. E.g. you have 563 product in catalog and Batch Size of 50. There are 50 products will be handled during one iteration. The product feed will be generated in 12 iterations of 50. The purpose of this is to insure that your server will not get overload.
No Image URL - If a product has no image (additional setting for feed configuration).
Click the button Save Config.
Go to the CMS IDEAS > Product Feed > Manage Feeds.
When you create a feed, you can use the template feed.
To import templates click the dropdownlist at top right corner. Select the feeds templates you want to add. Click the button Copy From Template.
There are template available for ecommerce sites like: Shopping.com, Google.com, TheFind.com ,Bing.com, Shopmania.com, Nextag.com, Myshopping.com, Getprice.com.
To create a new data feed, Click the button Add New
When opend window, you fill the fields:
Store View - the store view, for which will be generated data feed. This is requirement fields.
Name - the name of data feed. This is requirement fields.
Type - this is requirement fields. It's important to choose the format that will be best for your needs when creating a new data feed. There are three file types available for data feed, TXT (.txt) , CSV (.csv) and XML (.xml).
Filename - the name of data feed file. This is requirement fields.
Mode - there are four feed generation mode (Manual, Daily, Weekly, Monthly). This is requirement fields.
Delivery Type - there are two delivery type for data feed, Download and FTP (Extension can automatically deliver data feed file via FTP to Shopping Engine Service). This is requirement fields.
Default number of additional images
Allow to create/edit product data display in the data feeds. It depents on the format when you select at the Type field of General tab.
If you select CSV or TXT file type at tab General
Before creating attribute scheme, you need to fill in file settings:
Column Names - if enabled, display column name (attribute name) in feed file.
Header - display the header in feed file.
Fields enclosed by - allows enclose data in your feed file. There are four options (None, Space, Double Quote (“), Quote (‘)).
Fields separated by - allows separated data in your feed file. there are four options (Comma(,), Semicolon (;), Pipe (|), Tab).
To creating attribute scheme for data feed, click the button Add Column
For adding new column to your CSV, TXT feed, you need to create a new row and fill it :
Header - the column name.
Before - allows you place prefix before each value in column.
Type - select the type of data to enter. There are four option (Attribute, Custom field, Text, Images).
Value - select the attribute to enter into the feed.
After - allows you place suffix after each value in a column.
Format - there are seven options (As is, Strips tag, HTML escape, Date, Price, Lowercase, Integer).
Max Length - allows to limit the number of characters for the data values.
Parent - if enable, data from the main configurable product will be used.
If you select XML file type at tab General
Usually Comparison Shopping Engines provide a template of the xml file. Based on this template, you can create own xml schema.
Extension provides templates for XML feeds, so you can easily copy it and change for your requirements.
