Magento 2 Accelerated Mobile Pages

The Documentation


After downloading the package, please proceed with the following steps:

Step 1:

Please unzip the archive.

Step 2:

Disable cache at System -> Cache Management.

Step 3:

Unload the contents of the module package to the Magento root folder. This will not over write the existing Magento files, only the new contents will be added.

Step 4:

Using SSH, go to Magento root folder and run command below:

1. Run command to update database : php bin/magento setup:upgrade

2. Run command to deploy : php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

Step 5:

Refresh your admin user access rights: log out from your store admin and then login back. Next, please Enable Cache.

1. General Configuration

Go to the CMSIDEAS -> Accelerated Mobile Pages -> Configuration
or STORES -> Settings -> Configuration -> CMS IDEAS EXTENSION -> Accelerated Mobile Pages

You should configure the fields, then click on the "Save Config" button to save your work.

General tab:

Enabled Extension - You are able to "enable" or "disable" extension as requirement

AMP Enabled On - Select the pages that you want to enable AMP

Allow AMP on Mobile Devices - Set to "Yes" if you want to display AMP version of a site automatically to all mobile users opening your store directly

Allow AMP on Tablet Devices - Set to "Yes" if you want to display AMP version of a site automatically to all tablet users opening your store directly

2. Configuring AMP Homepage

AMP Home Page is being generated dynamically, which based on the categories you have. If for some reason the homepage does not have any category images displayed - you will need to manually set the Homepage Image (AMP) for these categories.

To setting AMP Category Images for AMP Homepage, you do the following:

1 - Go to the PRODUCTS -> Inventory -> Categories -> select the required category

2 - Go to Content tab, choose "Homepage Image (AMP)" field and click the "Upload" button to upload the image you want to display on the AMP Homepage

3 - Click the "Save" button to save your work.

3. Configuring AMP Footer Links Block

Go to the CONTENT -> Elements -> Blocks -> AMP Footer Link

Click on the "Save and Continue Edit" or "Save Block" button to save your work.
