Magento 2 Premium Table Rates

The Documentation


After download the package, please proceed with the following steps:

Step 1:

Please unzip the archive.

Step 2:

Disable cache at System -> Cache Management.

Step 3:

Unload the contents of the module package to the Magento root folder. This will not over write the existing Magento folders of files, only the new contents will added.

Step 4:

Use SSH, go to Magento root folder and run command below:

1. Run command update database : php bin/magento setup:upgrade

2. Run command deploy : php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

Step 5:

Refresh your admin user access rights: logout from your store admin and then login back. Next, please Enable Cache.

Go to the CMSIDEAS -> Premium Table Rates -> Settings or STORES -> Settings -> Configuration -> Sales -> Shipping Methods

Enabled - To display the shipping methods on the frontend, you need to set "Enabled" to "Yes"

Title - The title of the shipping method will be displayed on the frontend

Ship to Applicable Countries - Set Ship to Applicable Countries to one of the following:

All Allowed Countries: Customers from any country specified in your store configuration can use table rate shipping

Specific Countries:  Specify the countries that applied the Shipping Table Rates

Displayed Error Message - Here you will type the text for a shipping error message. It will be displayed when customers choose methods that are   not available

Allow Free Shipping Promotions - Set to "Yes" to exclude free shipping items from the shipping methods created with the module

Ignore Price and Quantity of Virtual Products - If you set ‘Yes’, the price and quantity of virtual products won’t be considered calculating of shipping rates for orders

Compare post codes as  - Create rates which work with zip codes containing 'XYZ'. It also supports ranges for UK and similar zip codes (like AB2-AB15).

Use price AFTER discount - Set "Yes" that a shipping rate will be applied to price of the product after discount

Use price INCLUDING tax - Set "Yes", if you want to whether to use a product’s price together with a tax for calculating shipping table rates

Sort order - Set the order shown on frontend

Use only one shipping type for shipping method - Set to "No" to use multiple shipping types for one and the same shipping method

Show Method if Not Applicable - Set ‘No’ customers will see only available shipping methods

Shipping Type for configurable products - Choose how to define shipping type for configurable products

Shipping Type for bundle products - Choose how to define shipping type for bunndle products

 

Go to the CMSIDEAS -> Premium Table Rates -> Manage Items

To add new a Shipping Method, you click the button "Add New" at top right corner and complete the required fields. Then click “Save” or "Save and Continue Edit" button to save your work.

1. General tab

Name - Name of Shipping method

Allow Shipping Types for Free - Specify the particular shipping types applied to the products. The shipping method will take place if no rates within the methos are applicable for these products

Comment - You can enter a shipping comment text and an image link that will be shown on the shopping cart and checkout pages

Status - If status is "Active" the shipping method will be shown be on the shopping cart and checkout pages

Minimal rate - Specify minimal allowed rates for the shipping method

Maximal rate - Specify maximal allowed rates for the shipping method

- Choose one of the variables for rate calculation that will be applied to the whole cart when customer adds to cart products with different shipping types

2. Import CSV tab

You can import the list of shipping table rates in a CSV format from here

3. Methods and Rates tab

Here you can view the imported rates such as address, price, quantity, weight, shipping rate, shipping type data,....

Add A New Rate Record

To add a new Rate Record, you click the button "Add New Rate" at top right corner and complete the fields on the Rate Configuration page. Then click “Save” or "Save and Continue Edit" button to save your work.

1. Create the options for ‘shipping type’ attribute

Go to the STORES -> Attributes -> Product -> Shipping Type

On the glc_shipping_type page, in Properties tab you click the "Add Option" button to create the options you want to use for the shipping rate

2. Assign Shipping Types to Specific Products

Once shipping types are created to assign them to specific products

Go to the Products -> Catalog and select the product that you want to assign shipping type (Ex: Gucci lylvie)

Click the "Save" button to save your work
