The Documentation


After download the package, please proceed with the following steps:

Step 1:

Please unzipped the archive.

Step 2:

Disable cache at System -> Cache Management.

Step 3:

Unload the contents of the module package to the Magento root folder. This will not over write the existing Magento folders of files, only the new contents will added.

Step 4:

Use SSH, go to Magento root folder and run command below:

1. Run command update database : php bin/magento setup:upgrade

2. Run command deploy : php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

Step 5:

Refresh your admin user access rights: logout from your store admin and then login back. Next, please Enable Cache.

 

1. Search Engine Configuration

Go to the Stores -> Configuration -> CMS IDEAS EXTENSIONS -> Engine Search

Allow wildcard search - Allows customer to search the product by part of the word.

Enable search terms highlighting - if select "Yes", enable search the featured products

Display Related Search Terms - if select "Yes", search results will display the related products

Max number of items in the result - Sets maximum number of items in the search result. Set 0 to disable limitation.

Wildcart Exceoptions - The list of words (characters) for which no wildcard rules will be applied.

Replace words in search query - Words from the first column will be replaced by word from the second column. Words in first column to be separated by comma.

“Not” words - Words which change search sequence to 'NOT'. 'Not' words can be useful for search phrases like 'laptops without bluray'. In this case search will return all laptops without word 'blu-ray'.

Long Tail Expressions - The list of words (characters) for which no wildcard rules will be applied.

2. Search Autocomplete Configuration

Go to the Stores -> Configuration -> CMS IDEAS EXTENSIONS -> Search Autocomplete

3. Search Spell Correction Configuration

Go to the Stores -> Configuration -> CMS IDEAS EXTENSIONS -> Search Spell Correction

Enable sspell correctiong - When search return zero result, extension will try fix possible typos in search phase

Enable fallback search - When search return zero result and spell-correction can't find typos, extension will try find search phase (without some words) with results

Go to the CMSIDEAS -> Search Indexes

To add new search indexes, you click the button "Add New Search Index" at top right corner. Then you fill the required fields

1. Configure a search by Products

General Information

Title - Title of the search index. Also this title will be displayed in the search result tab for the selected store.

Position - Sets the position of the index in the search results.

Searchable Attributers

For each searchable attribute you can set own weight. Different weights indicate the importance of each attribute for product relevancy.

The maximum weight is 10 (highest priority), the minimum weight is 1.

Additional Options

Search by parent categories names - if option enabled, customer can find a product by it's parent categories

Search by child products (for bundle, configurable products) - if option enabled, customer can find bundled or grouped product by information from it's associated products.

Search by product id - if option enabled, customer can find product by product id (entity_id).

Search by custom options - if option enabled, customer can find product by custom options

Push "out of stock" products to the end - if option enabled, all out of stock products will be displayed at bottom of product list.
